My most elaborate sword, and a deeply important one to me. This piece was me redoing my failed college thesis, in which I had a similar 4 bar Norwegian sword split along the seams of two pattern welds.

Its a painful type of failure, as getting the the point of tempering with a multibar sword requires dozens of hours of work. A catastrophic failure post heat treat feels even worse, as the ‘scary’ part is behind you.

Luckily I had no such problems with this magnificent blade.
