While having same profile as the standard V44-U model, this blade features a prominent distal taper, ground clip, and a deep 3/4 inch fuller, removing a substantial amount of weight from the blade while bringing the Point of balance closer to the guard.

In addition, the edge geometry comes down to .015 in, half the thickness of the utility model, before appleseed to its cutting edge. This further reduces the blade weight while providing a edge that cuts deep even with the most minimal of contact. It sacrifices a small amount of improved toughness for improved viability for self defense. Further expounding on this, the clip is brought to a shaving sharp edge as well, ensuring that all facets of this blade are ready to bite when needed.
